HUBBARD Shirley R. Nord, 76, of Hubbard, died Wednesday afternoon, November 8, 2006, at Northside Medical Center. She was born on July 23, 1930, in Struthers, a daughter of Robert B. and Leona Shaeffer Shilling and lived in Hubbard for 48 years.

Mrs. Nord was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Hubbard. Shirley enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.

Her husband, Charles M. Nord, whom she married on June 16, 1951, died on January 5, 2005.

She leaves two sons, Charles L. (Rose Mary) Nord of Tallmadge and Richard D. (Linda) Nord of Newton Falls; three daughters, Barbara J. (Jerry) Flynn of Hubbard, Linda J. (John) Huff of Hubbard and Karen L. (Jason) Shelton of Newport News, VA; a brother, Eugene Shilling of Hubbard; a sister, Cindy Thomas of Boardman; 22 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, her parents, a son, Robert A. Nord, a daughter, Shirley A. Nord, three brothers, Robert, Glen and Gary Shilling and two sisters, Wanda Merkel and Judy Shilling, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Hubbard.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church, prior to the service.
