Paula L. Young

HUBBARD Paula L. Young, 59, died Tuesday morning April 2, 2024 at Hospice House. She was born February 5, 1965 in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Nancy Perfetto Bartos and was a lifelong Hubbard resident.

Mrs. Young, a 1983 graduate of Hubbard High School was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. Paula was the office manager for House Doctors Window and Door and formerly was the office manager for Fashion Barn. She enjoyed bowling and camping, was an expert baker known by many in the area and was an excellent cook, especially Italian and Slovak food. Most of all Paula loved her family especially her children and grandchildren.

She leaves her husband, John R. Young, whom she married September 16, 1989; a daughter, Anna Simonaux and her husband Blake of Sandusky, OH and her stepchildren, Adam Young of New York City and Sarah Young of Hubbard; a brother, Deacon John Bartos and his wife Karen of Hubbard and three grandchildren, Spencer, Erik and Maria.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, James Young.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to her care givers, her sister-in-law, Karen Bartos and her niece Julie Bartos and also to Hospice of the Valley for the love and care that was given to Paula.

Family and friends may call on Friday April 5, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 Noon at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church with The Very Rev. Michael Swierz officiating and Deacon John Bartos assisting.

In lieu of flowers, material contributions may be made to the family.

Interment will be at Petersburg Cemetery, Petersburg, OH.
