HUBBARD Private services were held Friday morning at St. Patrick Church, Hubbard for Mr. John Wydick, 84 of 624 Elmwood Dr. who died Tuesday evening at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center following a long illness.
He was born July 27, 1916 in Youngstown, a son of Joseph and Anna Fukon Wydick and was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Wydick was a brakeman for P & LE Railroad for 27 years before retiring January 8, 1978. He was a member of St. Patrick Church and served with the United States Army during World War II.
His wife, the former Barbara E. Liposchak whom he married in 1936, died January 14, 1989. He leaves a son, Roger A. Wydick of Ashtabula, OH; two daughters, Barbara A. Nelson of Andover, OH and JoAnn Fata of Campbell, OH; a brother, George Wydick of Girard, OH; a sister, Mary Joyce of Hubbard; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Two brothers, Andy and Joseph Wydick are deceased.
