HUBBARD Mrs. Zita M. Novosel, 85, of Hubbard, died Tuesday evening, February 4, 2003 at her home. She was born October 19, 1917 in Hubbard, a daughter of Anthony and Rose Ferrett Choppa and was a lifelong Hubbard resident.

Mrs. Novosel was a secretary for Sacred Heart School, Youngstown for 10 years before retiring in 1978. She was a member of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and the Legion of Mary. She was a former member of the Knights of Columbus Women's Auxiliary and enjoyed reading and homemaking.

She leaves her husband, Nicholas E. Novosel, whom she married July 29, 1939; three sons, Nicholas A. (Jaine) of Lexington, KY, Dr. Edward J. (Colleen) of Liberty and Thomas G. of Boardman; two daughters, Barbara McKenzie of Liberty and Rosemary (Steve)Yaniglos of Boardman; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Four brothers, Guy, John, Anthony and Robert Choppa, six sisters, Seraphina Papa, Ann Lockard, Mary Choppa, Rose Choppa, Martha Bunn and Alice Choppa and two granddaughters are deceased.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 9:15 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard and 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church, Hubbard.

Friends may call at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home on Friday, 5 to 8 PM.
