HUBBARD Winifred M. Tedrow Spain, 94, died Friday afternoon July 18, 2014 at Liberty Health Care. She was born November 17, 1919 in Meadville, PA a daughter of Wilbur Max and Pearl Meadors Hyde and moved to Hubbard in 1940 from Youngstown.

Mrs. Spain, a homemaker, was a graduate of Greenville High School. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Hubbard and was recognized for her 65 years of service to the church. Winifred was a lifetime member of the IOOF and loved to read, doing embroidery and cooking.

Her husband, Worley "Hoze" Spain, whom she married November 28, 1992, died April 4, 2004.

Winifred leaves four sons, Ralph (Marge) Tedrow of Columbus, Tom (Lucille) Tedrow of Davidson, NC, Don (Arlene) Tedrow of Ellijay, GA and Jack (Nancy) Tedrow of Hubbard; a nephew that she raised, Bob (Betty) Evans of Cumming, GA; a brother, Fred (Ardele) Evans of Sheridian, IN; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Carol Jean Shields; two brothers, William Evans and Theodore Evans; three sisters, Alice Fry, Ramona Pitts and Marian Smith.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 4:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home with Rev. Luke Oskin officiating.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, two hours prior to the services from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Memorial Fund at First Baptist Church, 59 Orchard Ave., Hubbard, OH 44425.
