COITSVILLE William E. Redfern, 80, of Coitsville died Saturday, February 7, 2004, at his residence. He was born March 27, 1923, in Washington County, Alabama, the son of William E. and Lucy Hopkins Redfern and has lived in this area for over 40 years.

Mr. Redfern was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Solidarity USA and served as a volunteer with the Community Watch.

His wife, the former Eilleen E. Redfern, whom he married September 10, 1953, died June 10, 2003. He leaves four brothers, Kenneth D. Redfern of Richland, MS, Ernest O. Redfern of Star, MS, Roger J. Redfern of Brandon, MS and George P. Redfern of Waynesboro, MS; three sisters, Edith E. Long of Quitman MS, Rose R. Cauthen of O'Cala, FL and Daisey R. Holifield of Stonewall, MS; several nieces and nephews.

His parents and several brothers and sisters are deceased.

Friends may call at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard, Thursday 5 to 7 PM.

Further services will be held at the Hooper Funeral Home, Montgomery, WV with calling hours on Friday, 5 to 7 PM followed by the funeral service at 7:00 PM.
