HUBBARD William A. Pearson, 84, died Tuesday morning January 27, 2015 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. He was born January 23, 1931 in Youngstown, a son of Edward V. and Sarah Jane Collins Pearson and was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Pearson was a graduate of The Rayen High School and served with the United States Army during the Korean War having received the Purple Heart. He owned Pearson Dental Laboratory in Youngstown for 27 years, retiring in 1993. William was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hubbard and its men's club having run the spaghetti dinner. He was a past master of the Western Star Lodge, Scottish Rite and York Rite.
He leaves his wife, the former Sally Scott, whom he married July 3, 1953; two sons, Thomas (Patricia) Scott Pearson of Elkridge, MD and James C. (Alisa) Pearson Sr. of Virginia Beach, VA and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Russell Pearson and Robert Pearson and a sister, Lois Howells.
Family and friends may call on Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at noon at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Yargo officiating and full military honors provided by the American Legion Honor Guard Post No. 540.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Heritage Manor for the remarkable care given to William.
Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery .
