HUBBARD Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 22, 2016 for William Z. McCombs, 80, who died Sunday evening December 18, 2016 at his home. He was born August 22, 1936, in Pine Township Indiana County, PA a son of Zenas H. and Margaret Fetterman McCombs.

William served with the United States Marines, worked for Valley Vulcan Foundry formerly Valley Mould and Iron for over 30 years, and went on to work at Omni Manor Health Care Center for several years before retiring. He loved wildlife, nature, historic trains and enjoyed putting puzzles together, especially wildlife scenes.

His wife, the former Doris J. Hill, whom he married March 12, 1960, died April 13, 1997.

He leaves one son, W. Douglas McCombs of Albany, NY; a daughter, Bonnie (Matthew) Horan of Hilton Head Island, SC; a brother, Ronald (Linda) McCombs of Hubbard and one granddaughter, Lillian Horan.

William was preceded in death by his parents and wife Doris.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, two hours prior to the funeral services from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
