HUBBARD William Robert LaCivita, 89, died Thursday evening May 15, 2014 at Briarfield Manor Assisted Living. He was born October 20, 1924 in Hubbard, a son of Frank and Elizabeth Cataline LaCivita.
Mr. LaCivita worked at Borden Milk Company for 12 years, retiring in 1987 and formerly worked as a truck driver for Tieche Pie and Wheeler Potato Chips Company for a combined 30 years. He served with the United States Navy during World War II on the USS Laub and USS Clark and was a member of the St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.
William loved Polka dancing at Kuzman's with his wife and enjoyed golfing and walking.
His wife, the former Carolyn Vadjina, whom he married September 12, 1953, died December 19, 2010.
He leaves a daughter, Sandra (Jerry) Hickman of Canfield; son, Kenneth (Annette) LaCivita of Beavercreek, OH and two grandchildren, Alyssa LaCivita and Michael LaCivita.
William was preceded in death by his parents; 9 brothers, Angelo, Joseph, Albert, Michael, John, Rocky, Tom, Paul and Phillip LaCivita and one sister, Carmel LaCivita.
Family and friends may call on Monday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 12:30 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home and at 1:00 PM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512.
Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
