BROOKFIELD William E. Humphrey, 90, of Brookfield, formerly of Hubbard, died Sunday morning at Sharon Regional Health System. He was born October 10, 1914, in Youngstown, a son of Lewis and Bess Elliott Humphrey and was a life long area resident.

Mr. Humphrey worked for Ajax Magnethermics for 30 years retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Elks Club in Youngstown, the Ohio Credit Union where he served as an officer and was an advisor for Junior Achievement.

His wife, the former Ruth M. Rudersdorf, whom he married November 30, 1940, died July 25, 1980. He leaves a son, William E. (Claudia) Humphrey Jr. of Chesterfield, MO; a daughter, Nancy R. (Leo) Herrmann of Brookfield; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

His parents and two sisters, Jane Shipman and Helen Beatty are deceased.

Private calling hours and funeral service will be held on Tuesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.
