HUBBARD William P. Gladysz, 89, died Tuesday July 7, 2009 at Select Specialty Hospital, Youngstown. He was born October 1, 1919 in Farrell, PA a son of Paul and Sophia Shuba Gladysz and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Gladysz was the head of the Engineering Department for the Trumbull County Engineer's Office for over 20 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard.

His wife, the former, Jane Frances O'Brien, whom he married November 27, 1946, died October 8, 1990.

He leaves a son, William P. (Carol) Gladysz, Jr. of Mechanicsville, VA; a daughter, Suzanne (Frank) Spadafora of Vienna; two brothers, Edward Gladysz and Patrick Gladysz both of Brookfield; four sisters, Stella Lazor of Erie, PA, Frances Malia of Sharpsville, PA, Mary Perilli of West Middlesex, PA and Patricia Curren of Simi Valley, CA; four grandchildren, Lauren, Stephen and Julie Spadafora all of Vienna and William P. Gladysz, III of Mechanicsville, VA; a great grandson, Shane Gladysz of Mechanicsville, VA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Sandra Jane Gladysz; a brother, Joseph Gladysz and a sister, Wadja Malenky.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Church.
