Wesley Hill's Obituary


HUBBARD Wesley John Hill, 85, died Wednesday morning, August 11, 2010 at his home. He was born August 17, 1924 in Transfer, PA a son of Wesley Thomas and Dorothy Kuhn Hill and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Hill was a service man for Packard Electric in Hubbard for 20 years, before retiring in 1986. Wesley served with the United States Army during World War II in the Japanese Theatre. He enjoyed golfing, and his respect for the game allowed him to be an honest "scratch" golfer well into his seventies. He had won several senior tournaments in Florida and had numerous hole in ones.

He leaves his wife, the former Gloria Ann Carsone whom he married June 16, 1949; two sons, John (Susan) Hill of Hubbard and David (Lisa) Hill of Cuyahoga Falls; a daughter, Susan (Jim) Tomory of Hubbard; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Janice, Jim, Josh, Kreig, Chloe and Olivia and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.

Family and friends may call on Friday, 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to The American Parkinson's Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Ave., Staten Island, NY 10305 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Burial will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
