HUBBARD Warren H. "Barney" McQuiston, 86, of Hubbard, died on Sunday evening, February 17, 2008 at Northside Medical Center. He was born on December 13, 1921, in Youngstown, a son of Fred and Anna Hastings McQuiston and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. McQuiston worked for General Fireproofing Corp. for 31years, retiring in 1975 and for Hubbard Lumber for 15 years. He was a member of Church Hill United Methodist Church in Liberty and was a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Force, having served during World War II with the 30th Air Depot Group. Barney had coached Little League Baseball and enjoyed woodworking and gardening.

He leaves his wife, the former Sarah Knupp, whom he married on October 8, 1949; a son, Fred (Deborah) McQuiston of Audubon, PA; a brother, Clarence McQuiston of McDonald; a sister, Kathy Foltz of Liberty Twp.; a granddaughter, Lindsey Ilg of Vacaville, CA and a grandson, Gregory McQuiston of Norfolk, VA.

Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Charles McQuiston and a sister, Ruth Hart.

Funeral services will be held on at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.

Family and friends may call may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
