CRAIG BEACH Walter R. Phibbs Jr., 51, formerly of Hubbard, died Friday at Craig Beach Retirement Home. He was born June 22, 1954, in Youngstown, a son of Walter R. Sr. and Joanne Pennock Phibbs and was a life long area resident.

Mr. Phibbs, a self employed contractor, was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time with his family and writing.

He leaves his father, Walter R. Phibbs Sr., of Hubbard; three sons, Rob Phibbs of Hubbard, James (Heather) Phibbs of Corona, CA and Robbie Phibbs of Boardman; a daughter, Michelle Phibbs of Boardman; a stepson, Joseph Masterson of Dayton, OH; four brothers, Daniel Phibbs of Hubbard, Dennis and Bruce Phibbs, both of PA and David Phibbs of Austintown; two sisters, Robin Ebert and Cathy Ebert, both of Austintown; three grandchildren, Samantha, Allison and Skyler.

His mother, Joanne Phibbs and a brother, Paul Phibbs are deceased.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, 6 to 8 pm.
