HUBBARD Vita M. Rocco, 88, of Hubbard, died Friday afternoon, February 3, 2006, at Liberty Health Care. She was born September 22, 1917, in Youngstown, a daughter of Jerome and Pauline Sugamele Alberti and was a life long Hubbard resident.
Mrs. Rocco was a bookkeeper for Brownlee Oil Company in Hubbard for 23 years retiring in 1977. She was a member of St. Patrick Church, the Hubbard Senior Citizens, the Candleglow Support Group and the Adua Lodge. She enjoyed golfing and was a charter member of the Hit and Miss Golf League.
Her husband, James A. Rocco, whom she married January 27, 1940, died September 26, 1991. She leaves a daughter, Judith A. Dominic of Hubbard; a brother, Michael DePerro of Girard; a sister, Eleanor Vivona of Greer, SC; three grandchildren, Kimberly (Dr. Steven) Novicky of Canfield, Kevin (Mary) Dominic of Youngstown and Michael (Beth) Dominic of Columbus; one great grandson, Vincent P. Dominic.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, her step father who raised her, Albert DePerro, two brothers, Felix DePerro and James Alberti and two sisters, Jennie Giordano and Stella Moore.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
