HUBBARD Virginia M. Sorbes, 87, of Hubbard, died on Thursday evening, November 29, 2007, a St. Elizabeth Health Center. She was born on February 20, 1920, in Youngstown, a daughter of Charles J. and Mary Ann Costello Simler and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Sorbes was a homemaker and a member of St. Patrick Church in Hubbard and the Harmony Club for 68 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Her husband, John Sorbes, Jr., whom she married on July 7, 1948, died on April 4, 1992.

She leaves two sons, Fred (Carol) Arnaut and Jack Sorbes, both of Hubbard and two daughters, Gayle Bonaquist and Shirley (Jerry) Ifft, both of Hubbard; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and two nieces, Rita Johnson of Cleveland and Betty McGarry of Youngstown.

Besides her husband, her parents preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, 8:30 a.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 9:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.

Family and friends may call from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
