LIBERTY Virginia May Mercer, 94, formerly of Liberty, died Saturday evening at Briarfield at Ashley Circle. She was born December 14, 1907, in Hubbard, a daughter of Albert and Clara Davis Stewart and was a life long area resident.

Mrs. Mercer was a homemaker and a member of the Struthers United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing with her grandchildren.

Her husband, William F. Mercer, whom she married July 16, 1925, died January 26, 1984. She leaves a son, Albert "Bill" Mercer of Liberty; two grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A sister, Alberta Bodine is deceased.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, 5 to 8 PM.
