HUBBARD Viola "Vi" Baksa, 84, died Monday morning May 28, 2012 at her home. She was born March 27, 1928 in Youngstown, a daughter of Usko and Elma Savolinen Tiihonen and was a life long area resident.

Mrs. Baksa was of the Lutheran faith, a 1946 graduate of East High School and a 1979 graduate of Youngstown State University where she received an Associate in Applied Business Degree. She pursued her career as a medical secretary having worked for Dr. Maltibie in Boardman for 10 years and later worked for the scholarship department at Youngstown State University. Vi was an avid swimmer, loved sail boating, ice skating, fishing, line dancing and bowling.

She leaves her husband of 65 years, Stephen J. Baksa, whom she married May 17, 1947; a daughter, Stephanie (Jerry) Stearn of Henderson, NV, a brother, David, (Lynda) Tiihonen of Warren and a sister-in-law, Eva Tiihonen of Atlanta, GA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Paul Tiihonen.

Funeral services will be held on Friday 2:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Byus officiating.
