NEW ALBANY, IN Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home for Victoria C. Hiland, 88, who died Friday evening, January 10, 2014 at Westminister Health Care in Clarksville, IN. She was born February 5, 1925 in Gary, IN, a daughter of Casimir and Petronella Cepuras Remkus and moved to Hubbard in 1968 and moved back to Indiana in 2011.

Mrs. Hiland was a beautician for 20 years and was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Hubbard. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, playing the piano and singing.

Her husband, George R. Hiland, whom she married August 11, 1947, died March 25, 2006.

She leaves two daughters, Karen K. Campbell of New Albany, IN and Patricia A. (Dr. Michael) Simonsic of Berlin Center; two grandchildren, Kimberly (Darren) Wall and T.R. (Heather) Campbell; four great grandchildren, Tyler Wall, Emily, Joshua and Lillian Campbell and three special individuals in her life, George, Stephanie and Cynthia.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Richard Allen Hiland, who died in infancy; her parents; a brother, Charles Remkus and a sister, Alberta Sikora.

Family and friends may call on Thursday one hour prior to the services from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
