HUBBARD Victor F. DeVaney, 90, died Friday morning December 26, 2014 at his home. He was born April 15, 1924 in Hubbard, son of Frank A. and Carmel Ferrando DeVaney.

Mr. DeVaney was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, having been involved in various catholic organizations. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business and Public Administration from the University of Maryland. Victor served with the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and was a P51 armorer. He was a budget supervisor for the Department of the Navy for 25 years retiring in 1974. He was a member of the Hubbard Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3767 and enjoyed radio controlled airplanes.

His wife, the former Joan M. "Joanie" Hughes, whom he married November 26, 1955, died March 20, 2003.

He leaves a son, Arthur DeVaney and his wife, Barbara of Old Orchard Beach, ME.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 6:00 PM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.

Family and friends may call on Monday, one hour prior to the services from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.

Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery.
