HUBBARD Venerina Catherine DeSantis Vassalo, 96 of Hubbard, died Sunday morning, November 4, 2001, at Omni Manor Nursing Home. She was born March 27, 1905, in Coalburg, OH, a daughter of Matthew and Josephine Tucciarone Rock and was a life long Hubbard resident.

Mrs. Vassalo, a homemaker, was a member of St. Patrick Church and a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society and the Adua Lodge.

Her first husband, Sandy DeSantis, whom she married in 1921 died in 1932; her second husband, James Vassalo, whom she married in 1939 died in1974. She leaves two sons, Chester A. DeSantis of Hubbard and Sandy M. DeSantis of Morton, IL; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. A daughter, Anna Marie Horvath, a son, John DeSantis, two brothers, Angelo and Joseph Rock, a sister, Mary Caracci, a grandson, granddaughter and great granddaughter are deceased.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 9:30 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church.
