HUBBARD Valerie Keiper, 80, died Thursday evening, October 9, 2008, at Hospice House. She was born on February 4, 1928, in Germany, a daughter of Hugo and Frieda Schluter Siekmann, and came to the United States in 1958 and had lived in Hubbard since 1959.

Mrs. Keiper worked for the U.S. Can Company in Hubbard for 20 years retiring, in 1988. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Hubbard and the Youngstown Mannerchor Club couples golf league.

She leaves her husband, Robert Keiper, whom she married in August 25, 1973; one daughter, Brigitte (Dan) Shindledecker of Sandy Lake, PA; one step-daughter Karen Fazzone; two step-sons, Robert Keiper Jr. of Hubbard and James Keiper of Struthers; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2008 at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
