Ula Haggerty's Obituary


HUBBARD Ula L. Haggerty, 96, died Saturday morning, July 5, 2008, at Autumn Hills Care Center. She was born September 3, 1911, in Milton, PA, a daughter of Isaac and M. Mae Snyder Marshall and had lived in Hubbard since she was a child.

Mrs. Haggerty, a homemaker, was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hubbard, the United Methodist Women and a member and Past Grand Matron of the Rebekah Lodge. She was a caregiver, having taken care of many area children and elderly. A 1930 graduate of Hubbard High School, she was a member of the girls' basketball team and played violin in the school orchestra.

Her husband, Lewis J. Haggerty Sr., whom she married March 30, 1932, died September 22, 1970. She leaves a son, Lewis J. (Verda) Haggerty Jr. of Hubbard; one daughter, Louise J. Snowberger of Howland; nine grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 11 great- great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Holmes, Alfred, Jerry and Arthur Marshall, a sister, Velma Fluhr, two grandsons, Donald and Douglas Haggerty, a daughter-in-law, Margaret Haggerty and a son-in-law, Irvin Snowberger.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from Noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
