HUBBARD Memorial Services will be held Monday at 6:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home for Thomas Edward Thompson, 75, who died Tuesday morning, September 10, 2013 at his home. He was born January 20, 1938 in Sharpsville, PA, a son of George and Ruth Burns Thompson.
Mr. Thompson graduated from Brookfield High School in 1955. He served with the United States Air Force for 21 years with the rank of Staff Sergeant, retiring in 1976 and then was a Staff Manager and Agent for American General Life Insurace. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed bowling, was a pastor at living word in Hermitage, Pa and traveled with the church on mission trips to Mexico and throughout the U.S. Thomas coached little league, played softball in the air force and was a catcher. He also enjoyed camping and spending time with his family.
He leaves behind his wife the former Barbara Hughes whom he married on April 17, 1959; four daughters, Cheryl Thompson of Hubbard, Susan (Chad) Deming of Hubbard, Jennette (William) Sawders of Youngstown, and Pamela Schultz of Hubbard; Two brothers, Gerald (Carol) Thompson of Brookfield and Charles Thompson of Brooksville FL.; two sisters-in-law, JoAnn Thompson of Mineral Ridge and Debbie Thompson of Hubbard; Fifteen grandchildren Tarah, Matthew, Amy, Danielle, Jessica, Thomas, Stephen, Michael, Julia, Meagan, Hayley, Jonathan, Amber, Amanda, and Zachary; and twelve great grandchildren David, Michael, Dean, Abbagale, Dustin, Raemya, Faith, Jonathan, Elexis, Haylee, Chloe, Vincent.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law Mike Brady, and two brothers Robert Thompson and John Thompson.
Family and friends may call on Monday 5:00 to 6:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Rittman National Cemetery at a later date.
