MESA, AZ Thomas G. Stuckey, Sr., 79, died Friday, January 5, 2007, in Mesa. He was born on January 21, 1927, in Ford City, PA, a son of Joseph and Nellie Dickey Stuckey and lived in Youngstown for many years, moving to Mesa in 1982.
Mr. Stuckey worked at Youngstown Sheet & Tube Company, retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Mormon Church and the Moose Club, both in Mesa and played Santa Claus for many years. He served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Alabama.
His wife, the former Rose Marie McDowell, whom he married on April 1, 1946, died on November 18, 2003.
He leaves three daughters, Shirley (Bill) Hafner of Hubbard, Gloria (Robert) Steffen of Mesa, AZ and Patricia Leonelli of Youngstown; three sons, Michael Stuckey of Mesa AZ, John (Vickie) Stuckey of South Carolina and Joseph Stuckey of California; five sisters, Laura Graffuis of Clearfield PA, Alice (Ed) Holcomb of Girard, Bertha Greathouse of Austintown, Vivian (Jim) Morrison of Youngstown and Dorothy (Don) Greathouse of Girard; a brother, Charles (Joann) Stuckey of Hubbard; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren
His parents, a daughter, Sandra, a son, Thomas Jr., two sisters, Stella and Bessie and four brothers, Joseph, Raymond, Royd and Darrell, preceded him in death.
Local arrangements are being handled by the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.
