HUBBARD Thomas J. Balestrino, 86, died Friday morning, March 26, 2010 at his home. He was born August 14, 1923 in Youngstown, a son of Frank and Ellen Addesso Balestrino and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Balestrino worked for Valley Mould and Iron for 43 years before retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Patrick Church and the Knights of Columbus Msgr. Francis J. Hughes Council 2072. Thomas served with the United States Navy during World War II and enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and woodworking.

His wife, the former Helen Frances Ross, whom he married June 16, 1948, died March 20, 2007.

He leaves three sons, Tom F. (Debbie) Balestrino of Hubbard, Jimmy Balestrino of Wilmington, NC and Jerry Balestrino of Hubbard; three daughters, Linda (Lynn) de la Court of Cincinatti, Judy Angott of Largo, FL and Janet (Ben) Forbing of St. Petersburg, FL; thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 9:30 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church.

Family and friends may call on Monday, 6:00 to 8:00 PM

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice in Thomas's memory.

Burial will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
