HUBBARD Theresa Marie Ferris, 66, died peacefully Monday evening January 7, 2013 at Sharon Regional Health System with her husband and son at her side. She was born July 16, 1946 in Youngstown, a daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth Poffic Vodilko and was a resident of Hubbard for 40 years, coming from Girard.

Theresa was a 1964 graduate of Girard High School and a 1970 graduate of the Hanna E. Mullins School of Nursing in Salem, becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hubbard.

Theresa worked at North Side Hospital, St. Elizabeth Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital and various nursing homes throughout the area. She was known for giving excellent care and compassion to her patients.

She loved going on cruises, spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards, sewing and making quilts.

Theresa leaves her husband, David Ferris Sr., whom she married June 9, 1973; two sons, David (Mandy) Ferris Jr. of Youngstown and Patrick Andrew (Jackie) Ferris of West Warwick, RI; two brothers, Andy (Rochell) Vodilko of Varna, IL and Robert Vodilko of Girard; two sisters, Dolores (Joseph) Zuke of Morton, IL and Dorothy (Albert) Bobchuck of Girard; four grandchildren, Ethan, Olivia, Grace and Myra; ten nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Elizabeth Vodilko.

Family and friends may call on Friday 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home and also on Saturday one hour prior to the services from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
