HUBBARD Sylvia M. "Sally" Moga, of Hubbard, died on Wednesday morning, June 13, 2007, at Omni Manor. She was born in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Anna Lapadus Filimon and lived in Hubbard since 1949.
Mrs. Moga, a homemaker, was a member of Holy Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church and a former national secretary of AROY.
She was a local well-known oil painting artist, depicting Hubbard and ethnic culture of the Holy Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church in Youngstown. She was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, having served as a Chief Petty Officer. Sally enjoyed flower gardening.
She leaves her husband, Eli Moga, whom she married on January 11, 1947; a daughter, Susan (Dale) Siciliano of Hubbard; two grandchildren, Lisa (Jacque) Armand and Gina (Mike) Pustai and a great-grandchild, Isabella Armand.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Emil, Joseph, Ralph and John Filimon and two sisters, Helen Filimon and Veronica, who died in Romania.
Private funeral services were held on Friday, June 15, 2007, at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.
