"Syl" Frazzini Jr.
August 10, 1943 – May 2, 2024
HUBBARD Sylvester John "Syl" Frazzini Jr., passed away May 2, 2024 at Hospice House with his wife and family by his side. He was born August 10, 1943 in Youngstown to the late Sylvester Sr. and Victoria Campione Frazzini.
Mr. Frazzini graduated from Campbell Memorial High School in 1961 and was on the Coaches' 1960 All Steel Valley Team.
He attended Kent State University where he met and married Virginia Greene on August 8, 1964. She was his beloved partner on their journey through life. They were blessed with a son, Sylvester III. At Kent he was in Pershing Rifles and led their drill team to a national championship meet.
In 1965 he joined the family business, Burger Chef. When Burger Chef became Hardee's, it grew to many locations in the Youngstown area. He also worked at P I & I Motor Express and the Hot Dog Shoppe in East Liverpool. When he retired, he enjoyed golf, casinos, shopping on Amazon and traveling.
Syl was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Hubbard where he actively participated in the church festival, the Renewal program and was a Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister. He was also involved in the Cursillo Movement and the Pre Cana Movement.
Syl loved life. He loved his faith and family above all. He had a special devotion to St. Anthony which he shared with many people. He has fulfilled his final wish to be with his God for eternity. He is celebrating his own personal Easter now.
Syl is survived by his wife Ginny; a son, Sylvester Frazzini III and his wife Colleen; a sister, Debbie Novosel and her husband Jerry; granddaughters, Brittny Eusanio and her husband Jon, Emily Parry and her husband Jeff and three great grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dr. Henry (Marian) Frazzini; a sister, Rosemary (John) Makosky and numerous aunts and uncles.
Family and friends may call on Thursday May 9, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and also on Friday May 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at the church with The Very Rev. Michael Swierz officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by the Kelley-Cummins Funeral Home.
