Obituary


HUBBARD Steve L. Knebel,75 of Hubbard, died Sunday morning, March 24, 2002, at Specialty Hospital of Mahoning Valley. He was born November 30, 1926, in Youngstown, a son of John and Theresa Bonaforte Knebel and was a life long area resident, living in Hubbard for 43 years.

Mr. Knebel worked for LTV Steel Corp. for 38 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard, the Hubbard Conservation Club and the VFW Golf League. He enjoyed bowling, participating in leagues at Bell-Wick Bowl, Hubbard. Mr. Knebel was an Army veteran serving in Germany during World War II.

He leaves his wife, the former Theresa Perline, whom he married May 29, 1948; two sons, Stephen (Laura) and John (Melissa) Knebel, both of Hubbard; two daughters, Jean (George) Christoff and Lisa (Tony) Grande, both of Hubbard; two sisters, Emily Hlebak of Youngstown and Mary Wetzl of Hubbard; grandchildren Nicole, Mike, Amy, Josh, Danny, Brianna and Marissa and one great grandson, Corey. Two sisters, Theresa Pepper and Anna Rigac and a brother, John Knebel are deceased.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 9:30 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, 5 to 8 PM.
