GIRARD Stephen P. Peltz, 70, of Girard, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Monday evening, September 12, 2005, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, after a long illness. He was born on June 13, 1935 in Niles, a son of Michael and Eva Oleksiak Peltz and was a life long area resident.
Mr. Peltz was a press operator for Republic Steel Corporation, Truscon Division, for 30 years and then worked for Hawley Landscaping as a crew leader for 13 years. Stephen was a member of Victory Christian Center in Lowellville where he was a former sound technician and was a lifetime member of the Niles Bowling Association. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and enjoyed fishing and bowling.
He leaves his wife, the former MarySue Froman, whom he married November 27, 1970; a daughter, Christina M. (David) Hall of Brookfield; four sisters, Mary Dikun of McDonald, Dorothy (Frank) Zitello of Mineral Ridge, Delores (Vince) Steinbeiser of Mineral Ridge and Patti (George) Finelli of Girard and three grandchildren, Brittany, Veronica and Makenzie.
His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Victory Christian Center in Lowellville.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church, prior to the services.
