HUBBARD Stanley J. Baranski, 81, of Hubbard, died Wednesday morning, June 21, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Health Center. He was born November 3, 1924, in New Castle, PA, a son of John and Frances Woytowicz Baranski and moved to Hubbard in 1953 from New Castle.
Mr. Baranski was an electrical engineer for Panelmatic, Inc. in Boardman for 25 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of St. Patrick Church in Hubbard where he served as an usher and a member of VFW Post No. 3767 in Hubbard, serving as a Quartermaster from 1992-1996. Stanley had many friends and was truly a "gentle" man. He was a 1951 graduate of Youngstown College and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Stanley was an avid golfer and enjoyed gardening, bowling and dancing. He was a great storyteller, had a good sense of humor and was willing to help anyone in need.
He leaves his wife, the former Frances Szuba, whom he married on September 1, 1951; a son, James S. (Irene) Baranski of Concord, OH; a daughter, Carol A. Papalas of Niles, OH and two grandchildren, Gus Papalas and Alexandra Papalas, both of Niles.
His parents, two brothers, Francis and John Baranski, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 9:15 a.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
