HUBBARD Shaina Nelson, 25, of Hubbard died Wednesday afternoon at the Cleveland Clinic. She was born September 10, 1983 in Youngstown, a daughter of John W. and Suzanne Skruck Nelson and was a lifelong area resident.

Miss Nelson was a member of St. Patrick Church. She was a 2001 graduate of Hubbard High School and a 2008 graduate of Youngstown State University.

Shaina was a beautiful, spiritual and selfless person. She was an active member of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America and an activist for organ donation.

She leaves her parents, John and Suzanne of Hubbard; two sisters, Yvonne and Rachel Nelson both of Hubbard; paternal grandmother, Christine Nelson of Vienna; her soul mate, Donald Emery Smida of Hubbard; an honorary brother, Billy Gibbs of Hubbard and a large and loving extended group of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, John N. and Mary Lou Skruck II and paternal grandfather, Paul E. Nelson.

Funeral services will be held Monday 9:15 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church.

Family and friends may call on Sunday 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
