COITSVILLE Mr. Samuel M. Wade, 73, of Coitsville, died Tuesday afternoon, February 4, 2003 at his home. He was born February 9, 1929 in Argentine, PA a son of Harold and Emma Ekis Wade and lived most of his life in the area.

Mr. Wade was a shipper for Republic Steel Corp./LTV Corp. for 30 years before retiring in 1984. He served with the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War, was a member of the Coitsville Veterans of Foreign Wars and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He leaves his wife, the former, Patricia B. Hovis, whom he married February 19, 1955; two sons, Samuel A. (Debra) Wade of New Castle, PA and Alex S. Wade of Coitsville; a daughter, Sharon L. (John) Greenawalt of New Wilmington, PA; two brothers, Edward Wade of Eau Claire, PA and Bill Wade of Emlenton, PA; three sisters, Elsie Hayes of Pittsburgh, PA, Patricia Downing of New Bedford, PA and Carol Garman of Youngstown; three grandchildren, Erick Wade, Stormy Greenawalt and Shane Wade; two great grandchildren, Peyton Micco and Abbigail Wade. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Harold Wade Jr. and Robert Wade.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, 7:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard.

Friends may call at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home on Thursday, 5 to 7 PM.
