Obituary


HUBBARD Samuel J. Tucciarone, 91, of Hubbard, died Thursday, December 30, 2004 at his residence. He was born December 8, 1913, in Brooklyn, NY, a son of Daniel A. and Lena Marotti Tucciarone and was a life long Hubbard resident.

Mr. Tucciarone worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 31 years, retiring in 1976 as the Postmaster of the Hubbard Post Office. A veteran of the U. S. Army, he served during World War II in the 1st Division. He was a member of St. Patrick Church, the National Association of Postmasters of the United States, the 1st Armored Division Association and the Owls Club Golf League. Sam was a 1931 graduate of Hubbard High School.

His wife, the former Georgia Lewis, whom he married in May, 1945, died February 24, 1991.

He leaves two sisters, Anna Mae (Anthony) Orlando of Hubbard and Angeline T. Piesto of Youngstown; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, William, three sisters, Theresa Scarpine, Fannie Marsco and a sister who died in infancy.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, 1:15 p.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and 2:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.

Friends may call from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
