HUBBARD Sam J. "Red" Martino, 78, of Hubbard, died Wednesday afternoon at Northside Hospital Medical Center. He was born October 20, 1930 in Youngstown, a son of Dominic and Beatrice Zarlingo Martino and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Martino was a supervisor for Tri County Distributors retiring in 1991. He was a member of St. Patrick Church, the Hubbard Conservation Club and served with the United States Marines. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved to garden.

He leaves his wife, the former Odette Kanaan, whom he married June 1, 1957; a son, Michael (Tiffany) Martino of Boardman; two daughters, Dr. Michele Martino of New Hampshire and Carrie Clayton of Hubbard; a brother, Tony Martino of Boardman and four grandchildren, Ashley and David Clayton and Nicolette and Cassie Martino.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Michael Martino.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, 9:15 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church.

Family and friends may call on Sunday, 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.
