Samuel Beil, Jr's Obituary
HUBBARD Samuel A. Beil, Jr., 68, died Tuesday morning, March 1, 2011 at Greenbriar Health Care. He was born September 8, 1942 in Suffolk, VA a son of Samuel A. Sr. and Madalen E. Rutter Beil.
Mr. Beil was a graduate of the first consolidated class of Maplewood High School. He was a courier and also worked in maintenance at Huntington Bank for 6 years, retiring in 2004. He was previously the maintenance supervisor for the Trumbull County JVS for 16 years. Samuel served for 4 1/2 years with the United States Navy as an Electrician's Mate.
He was a member of Gustavus Lodge No. 0442 and also a 32nd Degree Mason. Sam enjoyed woodworking, leather crafting, fishing, gardening and especially loved cooking.
He leaves his wife, the former, Cheryl A. Grolemund, whom he married June 28, 1969; a son, Samuel A. (Gina) Beil, III of Hubbard; a daughter, Shannon A. (Jeffrey) Duggin of Smyrna, TN; two brothers, James R. (Debbie) and David G. (Gayle) Beil both of Farmdale; four grandchildren, Landan Cunningham, Ireland Duggin and Taylor and Colton Beil; seven nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and 10:30 AM at St. Patrick Church.
Family and friends may call on Friday 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery with military honors.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 4002018, Des Moines, IA 50340-2018.
