HUBBARD Sally J. Currie, 88, of Hubbard, died Sunday evening, February 4, 2007, at Northside Medical Center. She was born on September 26, 1918, in Youngstown, a daughter of Wilmer and Julia Rigney White and lived in Hubbard since 1948.
Mrs. Currie was a salesclerk for the former Strouss' Department Store in the Liberty Plaza. She was a charter member of the WGAH (Women's Golf Association of Hubbard) and a member of the Hubbard Mother's Club. Sally enjoyed playing bridge and golf.
Her husband, Bruce Currie, whom she married on October 12, 1940, died on December 15, 2003.
She leaves a son, Bradley W. (Rhoda) Currie of Hubbard and four grandchildren, Pamela S. Brooker of Westerville, OH, Kimberly J. Swain of Liberty, Jennifer K. Currie of Hubbard and Bradley Currie of New Castle, PA.
Besides her husband, her parents, a son, Bruce Currie and a brother, Jack White, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.
Family and friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
