CLEVELAND Ryan J. Wittenauer, 43, died Thursday May 23, 2024. He was born July 15, 1980 in Youngstown, a son of Gerald James and Kathleen Krusel Wittenauer.

Ryan was a graduate of Poland High School and a member of St. Matthias Church in Cleveland. He was a sous chef for Cleveland State University Huntington Convention Center. He enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns, cooking, traveling and especially being with his friends.

He leaves his father and stepmother, Jim and Linda Wittenauer of Hubbard; two brothers, Brent J. Wittenauer and his wife Amber of Moon Twp., PA and Kyle J. Wittenauer of Struthers; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Krusel; many aunts and uncles and 2 nieces.

Ryan was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Wittenauer.

A celebration of Ryan's life will be held on Tuesday June 18, 2024 with calling hours from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kelley-Cummins Funeral Home in Hubbard. Memorial services will follow at the funeral home at 6:00 PM.

Ryan's final resting place will be back with his mom in flip flops at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
