HUBBARD Ruth C. Banko, 87, died Wednesday morning April 20, 2011 at her home. She was born May 3, 1923 in Youngstown, a daughter of Mike and Anna Higgins Sefsick and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Banko, a homemaker, was a member of St. Patrick Church. Ruth was a 40 year member of Holiday Campgrounds and loved camping, cooking, gardening and bird watching. She thrived on serving holiday dinners and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians.

Her husband, John Banko, Sr., whom she married in 1946, died June 21, 1990.

She leaves three sons, John M. (Jeanette) Banko of Conneaut, Mike E. Banko of Chesapeake, VA and Dave R. Banko of Hubbard; two sisters, Anna Louise Beck of North Lima and Shirley Rosine of Hubbard; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, George, Edward, Michael, John and Bobby Higgins and two sisters, Agnes Young and Patty Sefsick.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.

Family and friends may call on Saturday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
