HUBBARD Russel D. Humphrey, 79, died Monday evening December 16, 2024 at Burton Health Care. He was born February 15, 1945 in Phillipi, WV, a son of Dorsey and Norma Haddix Humphrey.

Mr. Humphrey served with the United States Army as a combat medic. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Vietnam War Veterans and the Vietnam Memorial Wall Fund. He was a die setter for Howell Industries for over 35 years.

He leaves his wife of 38 years, the former Nancy L. Edwards, whom he married July 2, 1986; a son, Wayne B. Humphrey of Phillip, WV; two daughters, Rebecca J. Houy and her husband Fritz of Hubbard and Dianne M. Humphrey and her fiancé Ed Adams of Liberty; two stepdaughters, Kimberly Diamond and her husband Ray of Hubbard and Melissa Perline of Hilliard; two brothers, Butch Humphrey and Larry Humphrey both of Phillipi, WV; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Family and friends may call on Saturday December 21, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Cummins Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor David Coxson officiating.

Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
