HUBBARD Rose M. Zumrick, 87, formerly of Youngstown, died Monday morning August 2, 2010 at Liberty Health Care. She was born March 12, 1923 in Youngstown, a daughter of Joseph and Anna Thurik Javorsky and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Zumrick was a practical nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital for 25 years before retiring in 1979. She was a member of St. Matthias Church, Youngstown. Rose was a member of the Ladies Pennsylvania Slovak Catholic Lodge where she was a National Trustee and member of the Supreme Court. She was also a member of the Jednota Lodge and a member of Local 1133 (Soar Chapter 27-6) of the United Steel Workers of America.

Her husband, John L. Zumrick, whom she married June 12, 1940, died June 30, 1995.

She leaves a son, Dr. John L. Zumrick of Orange Park, FL; a daughter – in – law, Angela Zumrick of Hubbard and two grandchildren, Susan and John Zumrick.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Kenneth J. Zumrick, a brother, John Javorsky, a sister, Helen Gallas and a grandson, Jonathan Zumrick.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 2:30 PM at St. Matthias Church, 915 Cornell St., Youngstown, OH 44502.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the church.

Burial will be at Lake Park Cemetery.
