HUBBARD Rose M. Knapik, 89, formerly of Hubbard, died Friday morning, January 10, 2003, in Community Hospital of Gardena, Gardena, CA. She was born November 21, 1913, in Farrell, PA, a daughter of George and Agnes Vrbancich Stepanic and lived most of her life in Hubbard until moving to California in June, 2001.

Mrs. Knapik, a homemaker, was a member of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member and former treasurer of the First Catholic Ladies Slovak Association, the Hubbard Senior Citizens and she enjoyed playing cards.

Her husband, Joseph J. Knapik, whom she married May 8, 1945, died August 9, 1998. She leaves a son, Joseph J. Knapik of Hermosa Beach, CA and a brother, George (Helen) Stepanic of Hubbard. Her parents, two brothers, Lawrence and John Stepanic preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 9:15 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, 5 to 8 PM.
