HUBBARD Rose M. Ameen, 91, of Hubbard, died Monday evening, July 12, 2004, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She was born December 1, 1912, in Fghal, Lebanon, a daughter of Joseph G. and Kathool Shaheen George Wahabe, coming to the United States in 1922, settling in Sharon, PA and residing in Hubbard since 1960.

Mrs. Ameen was a homemaker and a co-owner, with her husband, of Jimmy's Food Market in Youngstown from 1945 to 1968. She was a member of St. Patrick Church, enjoyed cooking Lebanese food and spending time with her family.

Her husband, James J. Ameen, whom she married August 1, 1945, died September 3, 1976.

She leaves three sons, Thomas J. (Carol) Ameen of Mentor, Joseph G. (Linda) Ameen of Newark, DE and Ronald J. (Marianne) Ameen of Hubbard; one brother, George J. George of New Castle, PA; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, her parents and brother, Thomas J. George preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
