LIBERTY TWP Ronald V. Zetterquist, 75, died Saturday morning, August 21, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born March 13, 1935 in Salem, a son of Harold G. and Anna Linnea Persson Zetterquist and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Zetterquist worked in marketing for the Regional Chamber of Commerce for 12 years, before retiring June 30, 2010. He was a 1954 graduate of Hubbard High School, a 1959 graduate of Youngstown State University and received his masters of education at Westminster College in 1961. Ron had served with the United States Air Force Reserves; worked for Republic Steel from 1960 to 1968 where he served as the assistant to the district manager and was the head of the education division and he also taught at Youngstown State University from 1961 to 1976.

He was employed in sales at 3M from 1968 to 1972 and Youngstown Office Products from 1972 to 1983.

Ron was an active member of the Church Hill United Methodist Church where he was head usher, a distributor for Shaklee Products for 38 years, a past member of the Boardman Rotary and he enjoyed boating.

He leaves his wife, the former Barbara Clark, whom he married December 22, 1982; a son, Eric J. (Alison) Zetterquist of Weston, MA; two brothers, Carl G. (Shirley) Zetterquist of Howland and Eric H. "Swede" (Jayne) Zetterquist of Champion; a sister, Eileen (Robert) Smelko of Enon, OH; a grandson, Cole and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11:00 AM at Church Hill United Methodist Church.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and also on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to Church Hill United Methodist Church, 189 Churchill Hubbard Rd., Youngstown, OH 44505.
