Biography

BROOKFIELD Ronald L. Deichler, 76, died Wednesday morning January 1, 2014 at his home. He was born December 24, 1937 in Masury, a son of Edward A. and Margaret Allen Deichler and was a lifelong Brookfield resident.

Mr. Deichler was a division controller for Valley Vulcan Mould for 31 years, retiring in 1987 and was a 1955 graduate of Brookfield High School. He was a member of the Masury United Methodist Church and the Hubbard Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3767. Ronald loved Youngstown State and Ohio State Football, attending Mahoning Valley Scrappers games, working in his garden, reading and playing electronic hand held games.

His wife, the former Barbara R. Oakley, whom he married September 10, 1960, died December 6, 2009.

He leaves a son, Ronald A. (Debbie) Deichler of Tipp City, OH; a daughter, Karen S. Deichler of Hubbard and a sister, Marie Pearce of Murrieta, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Nancy and Dorothy and two brothers, C. Edward and Robert.

Family and friends may call on Sunday 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Brookfield Cemetery.
