HUBBARD Ronald T. Chaney, 79, died Friday morning August 1, 2014 at Omni Manor Nursing Home. He was born January 19, 1935 in Cayse, SC a son of Grover T. and Bessie V. Ott Chaney and has lived in Hubbard since 1970.

Ronald was a self-employed contractor in the building industry for many years before retiring in 1994. He served with the United States Army from 1957 to 1959 and was a member of the Covenant Life Fellowship in Hubbard.

He leaves his wife, the former Donna J. Moke, whom he married July 3, 1956; four sons, Michael A. (Faith) Chaney of Masury, R. Kelvin Chaney of Hubbard, Joseph T. (Lisa) Chaney of Las Vegas, NV and James A. (Kim) Chaney of Hubbard; three daughters, Robin L. Chaney of Palm Desert, CA, Rhonda K. Gaia of Niles and Donna M. Blue of Cortland; three brothers, Ray Chaney of Lexington, SC, Gary Chaney of West Columbia, SC and Fred Chaney of Gaston, SC; five sisters, Theresa Redding of Charleston, SC, Janice Chaney and Pamelia Jackson both of West Columbia, SC, Debra Harmon of North, SC and Paula Smith of Gaston, SC and 19 grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Grover Chaney and a sister, Beverly Chaney.

Family and friends may call on Monday 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery.
