BROOKFIELD Ronald F. Bennett, 85, died Sunday, February 14, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospital Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1924 in Monroe, OH, a son of Fred and Virginia Bennett and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Bennett was an electrician for Commercial Shearing and Stamping for 34 years before retiring in 1986. He was a member of Central Christian Church, Hubbard and served with the United States Navy.

Ronald was a member of the 20 / 9 Amateur Radio Club with the call letters, WA8ORL, a member of SOAR and was an avid bowler, having bowled in several leagues at Bell Wick Bowl in Hubbard. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing.

He leaves his wife, the former Evora Keene, whom he married January 21, 1952; a son, Ronald David Bennett of Youngstown; four daughters, Faith Marie (Steadman) Beighley of Youngstown, Hope Kohn of Austintown, Charity Hendrix of Brookfield and Faith Michael (Mahmoud) Fayed of Austintown; a nephew, Charles McGee of Hubbard; 17 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and his beloved dog and sidekick Mamie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Timothy Bennett and his wife Urania; a sister, Ruth McGee and a granddaughter, Stephanie Kohn.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 11:00 AM at Central Christian Church, followed by a luncheon.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard.

Burial will be at Dugan Cemetery, Fowler, OH.
