HUBBARD Roberta "Betty" M. Fry, 86, died Tuesday morning, October, 7, 2008, at Liberty Health Care Center. She was born October 26, 1921, in Altoona, PA, a daughter of George and Maude Stoner and moved to Hubbard in 1959.
Betty was a waitress for the Ringside Restaurant in Youngstown for 25 years and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Canfield. She enjoyed music and sang with the Youngstown Chapter of Sweet Adelines, played organ and sang at many area churches and was a former member of the Corner House Christian Church and the Central Christian Church choirs. She also enjoyed bowling and bowled with the early Tuesday night bowling league at Bell Wick Bowl in Hubbard.
Her husband, Cloyde J. Fry Sr., whom she married June 18, 1943, died January 3, 1992. She leaves two sons, Delbert W. (Donna) Fry of Boardman and Cloyde J. (Kathy) Fry Jr. of Ft. Myers, FL; two daughters, Esther F. (Fred) Tarasi and Patricia A. Boyle, both of Hubbard; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, her twin brother, Robert Stoner and a sister, Marian Archer.
A private funeral service will be held and there are no calling hours.
