MASURY Robert W. Sturges, 55 of Masury, died Saturday evening at Northside Medical Center. He was born September 12, 1946, in Sharon, PA, a son of Harold and Dorothy L. Dripps Sturges and was a life long area resident.

Mr. Sturges was a welder at Syro Steel Company, Girard, OH for 22 years. He attended Victory Assembly of God Church, Lowellville, OH and the First Assembly of God Church in Hubbard. An avid sportsman, he coached several little league baseball teams as his children were growing up and was a member of the First Assembly of God softball team. He was a member of the Syro Steel Golf League and was a devoted Cleveland Browns fan. He enjoyed working with computers and carpenter work. He served with the U.S. Navy from 1963 to 1969.

He leaves his aunt and uncle who reared him, Bob and Dee Shodd of Hubbard; his wife, the former Theodora Harriger, whom he married December 28, 1979; four sons, John P. O'Brien of McGuire Air Force Base, NJ, Lonnie J. O'Brien of Sharpsville, PA, Joshua R. and Timothy R. Sturges, both of Masury; two daughters, Heather L. Springer of Akron, OH and Shannon L. Neral of Masury, OH; a brother, Martin D. Shodd of Hubbard; three sisters, Patricia A. Moffitt, Dorothy B. Wukelich and Diana L. Keenan, all of Hubbard; 10 grandchildren. His parents are deceased.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, 5 to 8 PM.
